St. Louis Movement for Superintendent Kelvin Adams & St. Louis Public Schools.

This blog was designed by a movement of St. Louis Public Schools parents and citizens of St. Louis City to support Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kelvin Adams and the school district. We will be a watchdog to ensure that he does his work to educate our children without being constrained like the past five or so superintendents. We are fully committed to be visible stakeholders in the education of our children. We urge all parents and citizens of St. Louis City to support Dr. Adams.

Why we need to support the incoming SLPS Superintendent

The parents and the citizens of St. Louis City need to support Dr. Kelvin Adams to enable him to accomplish the following overarching goals:

Put the school district on track to reclaim its accreditation and glorious days.
Rein in on the perennial budget problem.
Raise the low academic standards by improving student learning and performance outcomes.
Introduce rigorous standards-based & data-driven strategies to drive the school district's curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
Improve the quality of instruction by providing well coordinated professional development.
Strengthen accountability.

We need to give him the chance to do his job. We believe he will make substantial improvement over time if we don't constrain him like the past superintendents. Please let us keep politics out of the classroom.

Let us support our school district and its new superintendent and students and teachers.

Anonymous said...: Our children go to St. Louis Public schools. We totally agree that we let the Dr. Adams do his job. Isn't that why we hired him? Why do we have to bring a man who was lined up for the job of RSD chief in New Orleans and then tie his hands. We've done that too many times and look where we're--unaccredited school district, low student performance, budget problems, low teacher morale you name it.

We ask the SAB, the current power holders in the school district to ensure the sup is free to do his job.
